I nominated Alison
Alison began piping at the age of 10
under the instruction of her dad, Bob Dunsire. She was a member of the Robert
Malcolm Memorial Pipe Band (juvenile) from the summer of 1998 to the fall of 2001.
She won two world championships with the band (1999 and 2001) and during the 2000/2001
seasons Alison was the pipe major of the band.
Alison attended the George Sherriff Invitational and the
Nicol-Brown Invitational twice. She turned pro at the age of 16 in 2000 season.
She competed in London in 1998, and since 2001 has been competiting in
Scottish competitions. She's played at the MacGregor Memorial Piobaireachd
competition for 3 years now. Alison played at the Silver Medal competition in Oban
this past August, after getting accepted in to the contest on her first try.
