"In October 2002, Canberra City Pipes and Drums (from Canberra Australia), spent 10 days in China, visiting Beijing and Shanghai.

On 15 October, the band visited the Great Wall at Juyongguan, near Beijing, and marched and played, perhaps the first pipe band to play on the wall?"
