Years ago, women were not allowed in pipe bands with men, so they had their own pipe bands. 25 years ago, this Vancouver Ladies Pipe Band won the Grade 3 World Pipe Band Championship!  The original this photo (taken right after their win) is on the wall at the home of Angus and Judi Macpherson (Judi is 3rd from the left, top row).
